Glasgow Youth Film Festival (GYFF) returns from 25-27 September for a packed weekend of great films, special events and Q&As, all curated by Glasgow Film's 2026 Young Programmers. Developed through a summer school with the Glasgow Film team, this year's programme explores the theme of Carpe Diem with stories about taking chances, embracing change and making the most of life.

The festival opens with an Opening Gala screening of Georgia Oakley's new adaptation of Sense and Sensibility, featuring a live performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and closes with a special 35mm screening of Dead Poets Society accompanied by live music and poetry. Along the way, audiences can enjoy everything from modern classics including Do The Right Thing and Breakfast on Pluto to exciting new films such as Falcon Lake and Extra Geography, alongside family favourite Barbie and a range of documentaries, filmmaker Q&As and free industry talks presented in partnership with Into Film.
